MORPHOGENETIC CHARACTERISTICS AND TECHNOGENIC CHANGES OF SOILS AROUND A CEMENT PLANT
Downloads
This study investigated the morphological characteristics and technogenic transformations of soils surrounding the “Karakalpak
sement” cement plant in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Field investigations were conducted on six soil profiles located at different
distances from the pollution source. While natural lithogenic and arid pedogenic processes became dominant. The findings confirm
that cement industry emissions significantly affect soil morphogenesis and technogenic transformation of surface soil horizons.
