The synthesis of isoindolinones by condensation reactions of acetylenic alcohols with 3-methyleneisoindolin-1-one using the AgOTf/PhMe catalytic system was studied. The selectivity and catalytic stability of the applied catalytic system on the efficiency of isoindolinones were investigated. The effect of the nature and amount of solvents, catalysts, reagents and substrates on the product yield in the synthesis of isoindolinones was systematically analyzed, and optimal conditions for the process were determined based on the results obtained.
