THE IMPACT OF MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE AND ITS RESIDUES ON THE PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF SOIL
This article explores the impact of municipal solid waste and its residues on the physical properties of soil. The study analyzes the relationship between household waste and the ash residues resulting from its incineration with soil pH, electrical conductivity, and mechanical composition. Furthermore, the accumulation of waste in the soil and the resulting degradation processes, environmental risks, and agrotechnical issues are also examined. The research findings aim to provide recommendations for maintaining soil quality and improving its fertility through the proper management, segregation, recycling, and overall utilization of household waste.
